A 15-Minute Activity To Help You Discover Who You Are When
You're At Your Best!

Hey Reader,

If I told you this 1 activity is responsible for the energy, inspiration and community I have as a creator, are you curious to learn what it is?

Since I understood this one thing, I've been more aligned in my content creation, client work and long-term vision than ever before.

And you can do this exercise in as little as 15 minutes.

I'm talking about understanding your core values.

When I first heard about this concept, I had no idea what it was and I neglected it for the first 18 months in business (which was a BIG mistake).

It meant I attracted the wrong people, felt drained in my work and bounced from one shiny object to the next, waiting for someone to 'save me'.

Eventually, a conversation with a mentor finally showed me why I couldn't overlook this any longer. Side-note: one of his core values is mastery, and he always says: "People buy from people who are sharp" (and now I know why ⚡️)

But how do you become sharp?

You become sharp through learning, application and continuous improvement. That's why I live by the kaizen philosophy (and now, mastery is also a core value of mine)

So here's why you should care Reader...

When you understand your own core values, you'll create more authentic content because you're speaking from the most aligned parts of yourself.

You'll then attract people will similar values and repel the rest. This means the creators you connect with and the clients you work with GIVE you energy, instead of taking it away. Wouldn't that be nice?

Take a look at this word-cloud and see if any of these values resonate with you (my top 5 are also in this picture)

To make the concept clearer, your core values are like 'invisible hands' because they guide you in the right direction on your journey as a creator and service-provider.

Most importantly, your core values create your community.

In September, my first community will launch and it will be thanks to understanding my core values. So if you want to build an engaged audience and a network of like-minded creators on LinkedIn?

I suggest you start here 🤝

See you next Sunday (where we'll talk about how to tell emotionally resonant stories using your core values)

P.S. Hit hit reply if you find this valuable, and even share some of your core values so I can better understand you.

I am writing this weekly email for you, Reader, so I would really like to interact with you more here.
